Travel with grandchildren

Majella had papers accepted for conferences in Prato (Italy) and Athens (Greece) but a side trip to visit with friends in Sierre (Switzerland) also appealed. Peter went along to carry her bags and make sure she didn’t get lost. Emily went along to help with the shopping.

Peter had a paper accepted for EdMedia in Vienna and needed to travel to present it. Majella and Joel came along for the trip through Singapore, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Italy.

Peter found a conference in Barcelona. Sam came with us on a trip through France, Spain, and Switzerland.

Ten years on we were retired with no conferences to attend but Sophie turned 13 and we took her to Japan.

We had planned to travel again to Japan in 2020 but COVID-19 blocked that plan. It was 2022 before we could travel again and we took Harry to New Zealand.

COVID-19 had prevented travel with Callum when he turned 13 in 2021. Once travel was possible we wanted to visit our friends in Switzerland and took Callum with us.

We eventually managed another trip to Japan. Lucas came with us as we explored further afield than before.
