This was the last day of our Western Australia trip. We spent time in Fremantle and returned to Kings Park before heading for the airport.

Today was a quiet day with minimal travel. We visited Kings Park to see more wildflowers, had lunch at Cottesloe Beach, walked by the river, and ate Indian for dinner.

We have completed our circuit around the south west but have a couple of days to explore Perth and its environs. Our travel today included some unexpected wildflower viewing.

We are now well on our way back to Perth. That required a lot of driving but we managed to see some interesting sights along the way.

We had planned to start today with a cruise but the forecast gusty winds caused it to be cancelled. That allowed us to spend more time exploring Cape Le Grand National Park and some other local delights.

Albany to Esperance requires a bit more than 5 hours of driving. That accounted for much of our day. For the rest we enjoyed seeing a very wide range of wildflowers in different settings.

There was a lot of walking today. Some of it was seriously uphill, some among the flowers, and some in support of voting Yes. It was all worthwhile if a little tiring.

This was another day of taking the long way round. We enjoyed driving through tall forests and walking among the treetops before sampling local cider.

The shortest route from Margaret River to Pemberton is about 140 km and would take less than 2 hours to drive. We went by a longer route and took a bit more than 8 hours exploring the forests.
