Our core goal for today was simple – drive to Glasgow, check in and be ready to meet up with Charles, Cathy, Cairsty and family in the early evening. Glasgow is less than an hour of driving from Stirling so there would be time for sightseeing at one end or both, depending on what we found.

Our plan for today was simple – drive toward Stirling (about 160 km or 2.5 hours away), visit a farm recommended by Glen Postle along the way, and check into our accommodation which was also recommended by Glen. Our wonderful record with the weather continued today. The forecast was for rain, it had rained overnight, and was overcast when we woke. It is overcast now and there have been clouds all day but our trip to Eigg was not rain affected.

It rained overnight and was still raining when we woke this morning. That was no surprise since it had been forecast to rain all day but we did wonder how it would affect our plan to cruise Loch Shiel. We were booked, though not paid, and had no alternatives in mind so it was going to happen regardless.

The weather forecast for today predicted rain and it delivered overnight and through the day. We were back on the road again so not often at risk of getting wet, but the covering of low clouds and occasional showers did obscure the views at time.
