Sweet Adelines, sweet corn, and sweet tea

We had a sweet time with Joyce in Connecticut. She took us along to hear her Sweet Adeline chorus, Harmony on the Sound, at their weekly rehearsal. Having won their regional competition, they are now off to Denver in November for the International contest. They are really superb, and listening to them sing and watching them perform was such a thrill! I was really wishing I could have been up on the risers with them! That evening was one of the real highlights of the trip.
Joyce also treated us to sweet corn on the cob (with other delights) for dinner last night and had sweet tea for me to drink. I’m enjoying that tonight in New York. Sweet!
