New York

Our short trip into New York today took a lot longer than expected as we were delayed by flash flooding caused by a heavy downpour about 40km out of the city. I drove through a fair bit of water before finding an exit that we could take. When we finally did make it through, our drive through the city took us across a few bridges and into heavy traffic and some more water, but we finally made it to our hotel. We spent the afternoon and evening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was spectacular and we enjoyed just a small fraction of their huge collection.
